Darla Welton is a Detroit-based freelance writer, editor, speaker, storyteller, visual & vocal artist. She is the Executive Director at Brown Dog Welding, co-founder of the Still Building America project, and co-host of the Playing With Fire podcast alongside her husband, Josh. She spent 13 years as a worship leader and church creative director. Connectedness and context are drivers for her curiosity, but she is passionate about moving people toward their commonalities, peace, and reconciliation. Darla is an ENFP (usually), and Enneagram 7 with an 8 wing, who lives in a world where 2+2=purple. She loves Jesus, Josh, people, art, history, advocating for skilled trades, writing, reading, research, travel, music, creativity, ideation, cooking, lipstick, and her dogs! ~~~~~All words and images by Darla Welton unless otherwise noted © Darla Welton - Darla's World, 2017-2019.
